Contracts & Renewals

Every non-legacy player is signed to your club on a 6-month contract.

What the contract covers

• The player stays in your squad until the contract expires.
• You can play, transfer, or release the player at any time during the contract.
• A sale refreshes the buyer’s contract term — the new owner starts a fresh 6 months.

Renewals

When a contract is close to expiry you’ll get an inbox reminder. From there you can renew in:

• USDC — paid from your wallet, or
• NIFTY — paid from your in-game balance (see NIFTY & Packs).

What happens if I don’t renew?

The player is released back to treasury and leaves your squad. You receive a NIFTY reward for releasing.

Released players go into a Free Agents pool controlled by treasury. They don’t automatically reappear on the market — treasury decides whether to relist them.

Legacy players

Legacy cards (token IDs 1–2742 from the original collection) work a little differently. They’re treated as part of the main collection for gameplay but the claim flow and contract handling can differ. If you own legacy cards and have questions, check the FAQ or ask in the community.
