FAQ
Is this real money?
Not yet. Nifty is in pre-beta on Base Sepolia testnet. Everything is for testing — NIFTY balances, USDC entry fees, and player NFTs are all testnet values.
Do I need a wallet?
Not for free play. You can sign in with email, manage your club, set tactics, and enter free competitions without connecting a wallet.
You do need a wallet to:
- Claim your starter squad (mints the NFTs)
- Enter paid competitions (USDC escrow)
- Buy or sell on the transfer market
Why can’t I enter this competition?
The backend checks that you have a linked wallet (for paid entry), a claimed squad, and at least 16 eligible players saved. If any of those is missing, the entry will be blocked.
I just bought a player — why isn’t it showing up?
In-app purchases sync immediately. If you brought a player in via an external transfer, it can take a short time for the indexer to pick it up.
Why is there no “Buy now” button on the market?
Nifty’s transfer market is buyer-led — you make an offer, the seller accepts, rejects, or counters. Treasury players respond instantly; peer-to-peer sellers respond on their own schedule.
What happens when a contract expires and I don’t renew?
The player goes back to treasury and you receive a NIFTY reward. Released players don’t automatically re-list — treasury decides.
Can I use the same team across competitions?
Yes. You only edit one team — the one in Team Management. Every competition uses a locked snapshot of that team at the fixture’s lock time.
Do I have to play matches live?
No. Matches simulate at the scheduled sim time. You don’t need to be online — the report is waiting for you when you come back.
What happens at full launch?
Mainnet launch will migrate players and progress where possible. Specifics will be announced before the cut-over.
Where do I report bugs or give feedback?
Use the feedback link in the app, or post in the community channel.
